Whats this world coming to ?

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A woman is going to jail for giving a dietary supplement to children at a day care in order to get them to sleep.

Pamela Hartley, 56, was convicted of three counts of child endangering and three counts of misrepresentation by child care provider after investigators found she was giving Melatonin to children at the Springfield Township Covenant Apostolic Church Day Care.

Hartley has been sentenced to six months in jail and three years of community control. As part of her sentence, she is not allowed to be employed as a child care provider and she has had her certification license revoked by the state of Ohio.

A second worker at the day care, Donna Scott, is facing the same charges. She will go to trial on Aug. 30.

About mdgm1233

I am a single mom of four beautiful children, dad decided that drugs and alcohol are much more important than raising a family, I have had to move back in with my parents.  Thank God for them, but they have their problems and of course I do not want to burden them with more, they say I'm not but I can't help that feel that way.  The only thing I am asking for me is help with fixing my teeth, let's just say my teeth were taken away from me by a drunk fist and I cannot afford it, he left us with no money,no car, so any money I do make goes directly to my kids and nothing for me anything will help and of course if it comes down to my kids needing the money I get I will use it on them, I will not lie.  Thank you!!!!!!!

Looking for Assistance

Hello!

My name is Amy.  I'm a 32 year old female who has two children.  I'm an ex-drug addict who has been recovering for 3 years.  As a result of my drug use and not taking care of myself, I have done severe damage to my teeth.

I'm looking for help to get my teeth fixed.  I do not have dental insurance and I am on disability for fibromyalgia.  Suggestions are greatly apprecitated.

I've always been the kind of person with low self-esteem, but now it's worse.  I want to look in the mirror and be able to smile with confidence.

I have a dream to help other recovering addicts to achieve the same clean and sober living experience that I have and to one day open a coffee shop for recovering addicts/alcoholics.

I am also enrolled at Kaplan University as a student in psychology.

The worst thing that can happen to you is that you feel there will be comfort in turning to alcohol or drugs - It never fails; problems only worsen when this happens.

I am in a bad situation, but I will not allow myself to be given over to drug/alcohol use. You shouldn't either. My church has recently given me some financial aid, as well as food bank items to help sustain us until I can find another job. My family has also helped.

If you are trying to do that which is right, and are in God's will, He will take care of you. He will also provide ways to make things in your life right again. He wants you to ask Him for these things. That is what He is there for. Just try it and see for yourself... Pray without ceasing, if necessary... Get others to pray with you no matter WHERE you are!

I recently worked in a place where I was in a position to help others. I told many of them that we were all one step away from where they were; asking for help - Within a matter of a few months, I was there. I am there now.

If you are a veteran, contact the nearest Veterans Administration; they well assist you with many needed meds, etc.

Visit your local Department of Labor. They have tried to help me quite a bit. If you find a job you like, they actually have a OJT program that will pay the employer 50% of your wages for up to around 19 weeks. This is a good incentive for the employer to hire you. It may not be available in all states, but it just might be in yours. Go and visit them tomorrow!

Just don't give up - Make the turn in the right direction. Find Jesus and a church in which His spirit is obvious; make certain it is not a cult. If you booze, you're gonna lose...  ;  ) ~NWM

Starting Over

Im a single mom recently relocated after a 4 year relationship that went pretty badly. ( My partner was a heroine addict/ alcoholic) I didnt know about it when we first met of for a long time afterwards until things really started falling apart. To keep a graphic story short, after finding him passed out one night with a bottle of vodka on the TV and my then 2 1/2 year old son walking through the living room with a gun I packed up my car, child and dogs and drove out of state. Weve been struggling to get by since then but Ive landed a decent full time job as a receptionist and im working to save up enough to get us into our own place, pay for childcare, keep us fed... pretty much all the basic stuff most families need to function. So im on the right track I could just use some help keeping us going in the right direction. I could also use some help or advise getting a lawyer to help gain full custody of my son...although I realize with those sort of fees thats probably a pipe dream too. I am willing to work hard to repay any help I am given, within reason( I still have some dignity). Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I Thought i was happily married for 14 yrs. I was your typical stay at home, pta going mom.  I loved my life, my kids were in great schools, happy, financially there were problems but I just thought this was normal.  It wasnt, he  had a drug problem and I just found out about it.  We moved once and he told me our lease was up, which it was, he had planned to move to South Carolina, we had always talked about it, we love it there.....so being our lease was up we thought it was time, we had about 2 or 3 months transition, til we were ready to go.  We packed stuff in storage, took an apartment where he works, they offered it for free, we had to move out of the girls school district and for a couple of months I home schooled, till we were able to go.  Well he drops the bomb on me.......we were told to leave our house the landlord did not want to re sign with us, becasue our rent was always late.....now he tells me about the drugs and money problems, and how now is not the right time to move, I can not keep my girls out of school anymore, the schools in Philadelphia are terrible, I desperately want to go back to the town we used to live in and get my girls settled...........I know i can do this, its scary, but I need to do this.
